This is my first laptop and i think that it has been ideal; it is easy to use and until recently I have had no issues with it. It is widescreen and has a CD and portable drive, excellent for playing DVD's and presentations, and completing small scale work projects. Firstly the positives; it is has a great widescreen with excellent clarity of images. It is also quite fast to load items, the control pad is easy to use and my personal favourite is the removable remote control in order to control DVD's or a presentation from a distance.
However, I have had this laptop since March 08 and recently there has occured a large problem. In that the wireless internet connection (rooter?) has broken and needs to be repaired. I also find it a little awkward to turn off, in that you cannot just shut the lid, you must either shut down or hibernate, If you shut the lid it will continue to use power even if you fold it shut immediately after selecting one of these, you've just got to wait. The battery power has decreased over time, it used to run for 2 hours, and now only lasts 1 from a full battery to empty, therefore if I am to use it elsewhere I must lug around the wire, which is long and bulky. My final complaint would be that it does not come with anything to wipe the screen or to protect the laptop for carrying or storing.
Despite these, and maybe the wireless connection is due to fault of my own, I have found this laptop very amenable to my needs. Most appropriate for a work/play activity.
