Advantages: big hard drive, fast memory

Disadvantages: Graphics card could be better, but will happily suffice

This is an excellent laptop, and a great buy and now the prices are falling everyday, it couldn't really be a better time to buy! Windows Vista has shown its stability by still somehow acting reliably since in launch in 2006.
The AMD processor is dual core - so despite it not being the Intel that everyone talks about - it still performs at the same level. The 2GB RAM coupled to the 250GB memory aids in showing the true power of this middle range Hewlett Packard laptop. The system very rarely slows - and this is even under immense usage when I am working on a web designing project - i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Firefox are all open that truly drink memory.. yet the computer is perfectly capable of performing tasks quickly during this heavy CPU usage phase.
The 15.4" widescreen is of high quality, at a very high resolution and is crystal clear.
One major point to note is the wireless drive built in. It not only carries the usual a/b/g signal, but the 'n' as well, making it beautiful for heavy internet traffic on higher grade routers. With the DVD-RW and Bluetooth working seamlessly, and the camera and HP Quickplay program with its remote (provided) acting well, the laptop answers every question thrown at it from a multimedia point of view.
Overall, I would have to give it 8-9 out of 10 - mainly because it is excellent for work AND play, without reducing performance in either.

Summary: 1 of the best mid-range laptops - can handle anything you throw at it!
