Advantages: Great inbuilt entertainment centre, easy to use, quite quick.
Disadvantages: Not a massive battery life, overheating can be a problem
I bought this laptop primarily for University work and for keeping in touch with my family. The inbuilt webcam really came in handy as all I had to do was click on the webcam chat button and it came on, no fiddling about with wires or trying to get it in the optimum position.
It has retained its speed (despite being over 2 years old and being used excessively!) and is very easy to use. I have been able to open multiple programmes (Word, iTunes, IE8, MSN) at once with the speed only diminishing slightly. The storage capacity is also excellent along and the retreival of documents is easy and speedy.
The entertainment bar at the top of the keyboard is brilliant as is the remote control which pops out the right hand side; it means that if you're watching a DVD or listening to music you don't have to worry about returning to the laptop to adjust the volume or rewind if you are on the other side of the room. The inbuilt entertainment centre is easy to understand and even easier to use, the slightly wider screen has also definitely come in handy when watching films.
The Cyberlink YouCam programme which was pre-installed on the laptop has given me hours of fun with my youngest sister pulling funny faces and taking distorted photos. The webcam is of a decent quality but sometimes dims if the lighting is slightly dim also.
The battery life could be better but I find that I spend the majority of time sat at a desk with it plugged in so it's not really been a problem. This laptop is prone to overheating quite quickly so having it resting on a soft surface isn't really an option, it has also caused the laptop to malfunction on one occasion but that was easily fixed by turning it off for 12 hours and then rebooting it as normal.
On an entirely superficial note, the pattern on the lid is fantastic and is what initially drew me to this particular model. Overall, it has been a reliable laptop with only the occasional hiccup which was easily resolved. The memory capacity is more than ample and has managed to accommodate vast amounts of music, photos and other documents with ease. I would recommend this laptop highly, especially for its inbuilt entertainment centre, webcam and the ease of use.
Summary: Relatively reliable laptop, apart from when it overheats, ample storage space and excellent features
