I have had the HP ProBook 4720s for about 7 months now, replacing a much older Toshiba Satellite Pro A100 which had performed admirably over a number of years (4+) heavy use. As an IT consultant looking for a laptop for all purposes my requirements were very high. Put simply, I wanted the following:- * Huge hard disk - the 4720s has 500GB (actually 450GB is available as the other 50GB is hidden for recovery) * Lots of RAM as I want to be able to run virtual machines and capable of running SQL Server 2008 Developer/Enterprise (i.e. 4GB RAM minimum whereas old Tosh had 2GB max) - this comes with 4GB RAM, expandable to 8GB which I ordered at the same time * future-proofed ...

Well just got this Laptop in last few weeks and have to say as far as value for money and functionality goes it s all good. It lightweight and comes with all the usual accessories, back pack...charger and variety of adapters. HP have made a name in the laptop markert of producing cheap affordable andf user friendly lap tops that offer value for money with all the new spec and this does not dissappoint....i found the start up process quick and easy even for a beginners and the range of software that came with the laptop enough to manage the day to day uses that i will be using it for... the screen is bright and clear and inportantly the battery life is good (which makes a ...

The HP ProBook 4710s is a 17" screened laptop with a fast intel core 2 duo 2Ghz chip, and 3GB of RAM, and running Windows 7. I bought this laptop as I needed a laptop useable for regular office work, so needing a decent sized screen and number pad on the keyboard - which it has due to the widescreen width of the laptop. In terms of spec and the software HP provide on the machine, it is ready to go simply out of the box, wifi connectivity is easy with a walkthrough, and the quality of connection is good.
