I have been in the market for a laptop for a couple of months now to replace my ageing Samsung one. a mid-specification laptop that was suitable for a wide range of tasks and also sturdy enough to be used in some quite hostile environments. The HP ProBook 4710s is a 17" screened laptop with a fast intel core 2 duo 2Ghz chip, and 3GB of RAM, and running Windows 7. I bought this laptop as I needed a laptop useable for regular office work, so needing a decent sized screen and number pad on the keyboard - which it has due to the widescreen width of the laptop. In terms of spec and the software HP provide on the machine, it is ready to go simply out of the box, wifi connectivity is easy with a walkthrough, and the quality of connection is good.
