It is more of a notepad than a thinkpad as IBM suggest. It is almost ideally suited to be a second laptop, but who would need one. The best use for it is just using it as an expensive internet browser and portable DVD player that only has two and a half hours battery life when in full use (ie watching a film with sound). However, there are definitely better alternatives. Most mobile phones now have internet browsing and can play films, almost making this laptop redundant. I would save a bit more cash (another 100 to 200 quid) and invest in something with a bigger hard drive, bigger RAM and graphics so that you can get more use out of ...

safeboot software installed for connecting to my office intranet. I always fancied thinkpad as it is the mother of all laptop in all aspects. The one I am using is Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and running Windows XP on it. The only thing I don t like in ThinkPad is that red trackball device, which I always found tricky to deal with. This T41 has that trackball as well as touch pad, so I am not complaining about it. The T41 is one of the best looking laptops with everything you want from the laptop. Even if I try hard, I can t find a fault with it. am a very happy owner of Thinkpad T40p. I have had it for about 7 years now. Although there are better laptops out there, I am still loyal to my IBM . It is a very pretty, easy to use computer which can be employed by any student or businessman. Its construction is very solid. My laptop has survived many drops and bruises. Obviously, since its relase is date for the beginning of the 3rd millenium some of its features are outdated. An example of this is the Wi-fi adapter which does not support the WPA encryption code. It may be quite big of an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the battery life of T40p is not very satisfying either. On average it will not last much longer than ...
