good for word processing and basic applications

I am a very happy owner of Thinkpad T40p. I have had it for about 7 years now. Although there are better laptops out there, I am still loyal to my IBM. It is a very pretty, easy to use computer which can be employed by any student or businessman. Its construction is very solid. My laptop has survived many drops and bruises. Obviously, since its relase is date for the beginning of the 3rd millenium some of its features are outdated. An example of this is the Wi-fi adapter which does not support the WPA encryption code. It may be quite big of an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the battery life of T40p is not very satisfying either. On average it will not last much longer than 90 minutes (battery is 5 years old) which is troublesome for travellers. Another flaw is a dual USB socket. Nowadays, 2 sockets is not going to impress anyone. A usb splitter can be used to overcome the last issue. My favorite thing about T40p is the TrackPoint which isn't found in many of computers today.
