... bought the X20 second hand some years ago as my first laptop... I was not disappointed despite its age! IBM certainly made their Thinkpads to last. The Thinkpad is a supremely conventional and practical piece of hardware, perfect for anyone who is constantly on the move. The keys are soft enough to prevent cramping yet firm enough to give off solid click. The overall design of the keypad is ergonomically designed to prevent long term soreness of the hands. The TrackPoint scrolling feature (located slightly above the touchpad) makes for easy web browser or document editing without clumsily re centering the mouse arrow in an unwanted area of the document or web page. IBM Thinkpad T41 ... is my office laptop, which came with all VPN and safeboot software installed for connecting to my office intranet. I always fancied thinkpad as it is the mother of all laptop in all aspects. The one I am using is Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and running Windows XP on it. The only thing I don t like in ThinkPad is that red trackball device, which I always found tricky to deal with. This T41 has that trackball as well as touch pad, so I am not complaining about it. The T41 is one of the best looking laptops with everything you want from the laptop. Even if I try hard, I can t find a fault with it. I will keep the review short and just list the features quick... IBM Thinkpad R50e ... I’m not that technical, so this may not be ideal if you’re looking for specifications, etc! I recently gambled on an IBM ThinkPad R50e, Which I’m writing on now, so better be nice or it may crash. Needless to say, I love my ThinkPad. From the colourful display of “IBM” in the corner of my keyboard to the lights at the bottom of the screen telling me my battery is running low, and I’m currently connected to the Internet. The ThinkPad is aesthetically pleasing, to say the least.
