IBM Thinkpad 600X:
... ibm thinkpad 600x is a truly great machine. Even in 2009, the thinkpad still preforms well with its maxium 512mb ram. I can internet browse, instant message, and listen to a cd all at the same time. The 500mhz processor keeps up with most applications. The build quality is great, and it feels like new even after 10 years. I also own a dell that is a few years newer, but it feels flimsy and cheap compared to this.... IBM Thinkpad T42 2373 ... is a leading brand for laptops! I bought my own T42 over four years ago with the price of over 2000 dollars. The first overall impression was not so good because the whole color is totally black. Why not colorful? I was confused at the first catch. Soon I realized the color is attractive and I enjoy it greatly. It is not easy to look dirty and it is always strong! My laptop never has any problem even though I always takes it when I fly! So it is very reliable and works good for business. Besides, it has an independent graphic card therefore the image and video quality is quite satisfactory. IBM Thinkpad X20 2660 ... bought the X20 second hand some years ago as my first laptop... I was not disappointed despite its age! IBM certainly made their Thinkpads to last. Mine is 7 years old and has been bashed about more than I care to mention, yet it continues to work beautifully. Into the bargain you also get Cardbus, CompactFlash and 2 USB 1.1 slots. The hard disk is also housed in a very useful caddy which allows removal simply by sliding it out with no unscrewing required. Note that there is no floppy or CD/DVD drive but you can get a dock which will take them. The unit is tiny and can be lifted easily with one hand. IBM Thinkpad T41 ... is my office laptop, which came with all VPN and safeboot software installed for connecting to my office intranet. I always fancied thinkpad as it is the mother of all laptop in all aspects. The one I am using is Pentium M 1.6 GHz, 1 GB RAM, 40 GB HDD and running Windows XP on it. The only thing I don t like in ThinkPad is that red trackball device, which I always found tricky to deal with. This T41 has that trackball as well as touch pad, so I am not complaining about it. The T41 is one of the best looking laptops with everything you want from the laptop. Even if I try hard, I can t find a fault with it. I will keep the review short and just list the features quick...
