IBM Thinkpad R51 2888 ... should be played on a desktop if you are serious. The R51 comes with a number of quick access buttons along the top to allow you to turn on Bluetooth, wireless etc at the touch of a button. This does make life easier and means you don t have to hunt around in the Start Menu to enable equipment. USB ports are standard along with a good quality DVD writer. I have to question the design of the IBM. Whilst it is strong and durable it never seems to develop or improve. It reminds me of an old T21 I had a number of years ago, may be a little thinner but exactly the same otherwise. Still, why change what obviously works…. Software wise you get Windows XP Pro, Pro being a ... Read the full review: IBM Thikpad, yet another Thinkpad or something new by skrg28 |

IBM Thinkpad 760 XL ... am a full-time student and I only work part-time. So I can t afford one of the latest PC s or Laptops. Well anyway one day I was browsing in a computer shop and I stumbled across the IBM Thinpad 760XL. My first impressions was that it was quite heavy and bulky. But after having a play with it, I discovered that I liked it! - It was everything I needed to aid me through my studies, and it was affordable too, so I decided to buy it! When I first bought this Laptop, it had pretty basic specs. 2.1GB HDD and just 32MB RAM. But over time I upgraded, now I have a 5GB HDD and 80MB RAM. Now okay, it may still be basic but with that I have been able to do some pretty amazing t... Read the full review: IBM Thinkpad 760XL by TheMusician |

IBM Thinkpad T23 2647 ... yes, yet another main Christmas present which isn t fully functional. It s been the same every Christmas, whether it be CD players or laptops, something always goes wrong and have to be fixed or returned to the shop. This is the same with my new laptop. The IBM ThinkPad T23 2647 - yes, that is its full name - was a second hand laptop my dad managed to get a hold of from a friend. This is a corporate laptop, which used to belong to a well-known bank but as they now have brand new laptops, they were selling off the old ones. Don t get me wrong, these are still in pretty good condition with Pentium III processor, but if something better comes along, why shouldn t they go...
