Disadvantages: Maybe not for beginners

I bought my IPC WebStar laptop from a local computer store about a year ago and I?m happy to report I?ve never had a problem with it. Because my unit had a really high spec when I bought it I?m still able to play the latest games with it?s ATI card which is not the case with my brother who opted for a brand name unit at a lower spec.

The main difference between my IPC and my brothers Tosh was that all the bumf Tosh included with the unit like Step by Step Guide, Pull out charts, expansive manual, free software, promotional material was missing from my IPC. In the box I received my laptop, the driver disks, a carry case and all the required cables, ?that was it? This must be how IPC manage to keep the price so low. For me this was not a problem as I have quite a lot of basis computer knowledge but maybe the first time user would need to contact there support team. (Who are by the way, really down to earth people)

My unit still looks modern and I?m still happy about taking it out in public although it?s not as slim as some of the newer laptops on the market.

I would recommend IPC to anyone who is on a budget but wants a high-powered, reliable machine.
