I bought this laptop as a replacement for my HP G700 and found this laptop so much better. It came which windows 7 which I found strange at first as i was used to vista and i also found that a lot my editing software that I used my old laptop did not work on this one which was a shame. This laptop comes with 3G of memory which was plenty for me and works really well with all the games i clog up with my computer. The screen is a bit of a strange design as it is wider then tall so some laptop bags don't fit it even if it says it fits a 15.6" laptop so its best just to test it out before you buy it. The graphics is a lot better on this computer and plays games that require higher graphics which is good as i am a avid gamer.
The internet speed I find is a lot quicker on this laptop then my old one even with the same router. The battery last for up to 3 hours which i found a long time for what I wanted it for.
Great neat little laptop and I got mine for £299 in a sale and I'm so glad I bought it.
Pros: It was awesome to have a 4G ram, & win 7. It is quick, and it manages the OS fine. Though I have not installed a bunch of softwares as of yet...
Cons: I am not that cool with the display though. It is actually not so easy to view if i am seated at an angle. there are some dark color which causes the screen to flicker. keyboard is sticky at times, and the control key is moved away and a function key is in its place. The touchpad mouse is a tiresome !
Alright ,this is so far the bad, unreliable laptop I have ever owned. The motherboard failed within the 1st month itself. It's constantly telling me I have a storage device hooked up...no I don't. I also tried hooking the thing up to a flatscreen tv. As there is no S connector, I am forced to use the monitor cable. The laptop couldn't even display properly. I finally after playing with it for an hour or so, got the setting to use about 90% of the screen, except that it was off, ( I couldn't see the windows start menu) I tried to mess with the settings,( no border, center, anything... well somehow this freaked out the laptop, and any time I plug in the monitor cable the screen goes blank, and I have to restart the computer. I've never seen so many bugs, in a laptop. I'm astounded that they can launch this crappy stuff in the market. Waste of my money. I will refrain from buying another lenovo henceforth.
I bought this laptop as a replacement to my old Sony Vaio, which had recently stopped chargin correctly.
The main reason i decided to choose this laptop was because it was on sale, and the specs looked very good for such a reasonable price of £300. I must admit I don't know much about the specifications of laptops but i was told to look out for a high processor speed and a big hard drive. This model offer 2.1 processor which was the highest I could see on the website I purchased from and a 250gb harddrive which is more than sufficient for my music and document storing needs.
The appearance of this laptop is very nice, it is black non glossy, with a ridge feel to it, and has lenovo in the top corner.
The task I mainly use this for are downloading music, typing word documents, reading emails and surfing the internet. For these tasks I find this laptop more than adequate, and find it to be much faster than my previous laptop. It also comes with many extra features such as Windows office trial and lenovo webcam. It runs on windows 7, which takes a bit of getting used to as I used to have XP on my previous laptop.
Overall I would recommend this laptop for someone who is wanting it for just basic entertainment functions like me for a great price.
I bought this a few weeks ago and have found that for my needs it is a fantastic product. The laptop is very sleek, stylish and very accessible. The version I bought is in black, however I know that it is also available in grey. It has the most up to date operating system, Windows 7; I have found that it is very fast and efficient when processing commands. This laptop has a very good screen size of 15.6 ins and the screen resolution has great clarity. I have also used this laptop to play dvd's and cd's and the picture and sound quality are fabulous. There is also a web cam which comes as standard with this product and that is also to a high standard. My mum also uses this and she is quite elderly, with not much experience of computers and she finds it's compact size useful. The only criticism I have is that the Microsoft office that came with this product is laid out in the non sensical way that Vista is. Bring back XP, all is forgiven. Just as a quick note the battery life is also very good on this laptop; I have found that it can last up to about 4 hours, which is great for me and my level of usage.
