Lenovos are simply the best laptops around if you do not like Apples. I have owned various other brands in the past and have problems sometimes from day one. This is my 2nd Lenovo and it has not disappointed.

The G570 has enough of everything for "normal" activities such as the internet, word processing and spread sheet maintenance. It can also handle light gaming and I even edit video on mine with software that is known to slow down your computer without any ill effects.
It comes with starter versions of everything so set up should not take more than 5 minutes and monthly maintenance won't take any longer than that either.

The battery life is one of the best I have come across and the laptop does actually stay charged for the period mentioned in the handbook. Even longer if operated in a cool environment.
I like having the air vents on the side, which prevent overheating when the laptop is down on a soft surface. (I know you are not supposed to put them down anywhere soft, but I'm sure we are all gulty of this).
