I got my Lenovo N500 when I went to university almost 2 years ago. I was recommended a Lenovo as they are supposed to be reliable machines unlike that of the likes of Dell, who have gained somewhat of an unreliable reputation. Upon its arrival, I was very satisfied with the laptop. The screen is of a good size, measuring 15.4". This was the first time I had encountered Windows Vista, and although experiencing some initial dislikes of the operating system compared to what I was used to with XP, I found that it was easy to use. Overall I think this is a good machine, although it does depend slightly what you want. For basic office needs, or those of a student etc it fulfils its role nicely. It's easy to use and operate and the screen is a moderate size, meaning that it's big enough to comfortably do essays etc on but it doesn't take over your entire desk. It also seems to be pretty reliable, I haven't had any problems with mine yet and I have had it a couple of years. On the downside, the battery life is not too good, running out after about an hour if you have it on a high performance plan - which is by far the best out of those available. Also, it can't cope with many newer games, so if this is what ...
