Let me start by saying this is an excellent thinkpad. I've had one for over a year, and apart from the occasional blue screen (which is possibly user error), its been incredibly reliable.
I like the fact that its light, so no issues with moving around the house with thinkpad in hand.
The screen size is ample - 14 inches, and it has a very strong battery life. I've often worked just on battery mode, and its not showing yet any signs of deterioration. Its a worry when you buy a thinkpad that the battery will not last long, and the replacement will be hugely expensive. I just checked, and my thinkpad is 1 year old and the battery fully charged has 4 hours of life.
It also has all the needed functionality; plenty of memory, wireless capability, a DVD player, three USB ports, a sound card and microphone. I've stored photos, documents, watched movies and also accessed multiple internet sites, and never had a problem with the speed or reliability.
I also read somewhere that's its spill resistant, but don't intend testing that out.
So, in summary. This is a very good, reliable Thinkpad, and comes with all mod-cons that users require these days.
I have had this laptop for over a year and got it through a scheme provided by my university at a discounted price. I primarily use it for Uni work however I would recommend this laptop to business users as it is perfect for travel. I would say it is quite lightweight for the capabilities is possesses and can easily run multiple MS Office documents even with music playing in the background.
The battery life is good and you can customise power settings through the lenovo thinkvantage software installed, this software lets you control many aspects of the laptop, not just power setting but also helps maintain efficiency. The battery on the highest power setting lasts for about 2-3 hours depending on what you are doing but with the power saver setting, at a performance cost, i have had it run for up to 6 hours. I would also say it is a very robust laptop as I have accidentally banged off things a few times and it still works perfectly.
I have had very few problems with this laptop, the main one being a fan error that appeared a few times and would not allow start up however it seems to have fixed itself after a number of tries. I would rate this product 4/5
