Advantages: Solidly built, fast, cool

Having learned that Lenovo has taken over IBMs computer business i was skeptical whether IBMs legendary quality would be continued in the new line of laptops

I am happy to confirm that this is the case.

The build quality is superb with rubberized plastic the order of the day, input is handled by both a track-pad and and trackpoint allowing you to move the mouse without taking your hand off the keyboard. The screen while not hugely bright is good quality and readable under most lights.

On the performance side of things (as long as you are not planning on playing games) the laptop goes like a charm with multitasking producing no noticeable slow down. The built in wireless works well with the switch being hardware it is easy to turn off if you want to increase battery life.

The battery life is good at over 3 hours and as the machine runs quite cool it is great to use on your lap without the fear of 3rd degree burns.
