Basics...
IBM is a very old player in notebook market and now there are many other brands already entered in this field with many featured notebooks, it it tough time for IBM to get that old status back. But besides that IBM always try to give a better product to its customers and now the mini notebook with 13.3" screen size has been launched with some good features and design.
13.3" notebooks are generally very costly due to its small design with all important features, and main brands are in market from Apple, Dell and IBM. Dell has launched its most popular XPX 1330 last year and it got huge success in the market. Lenovo also has better notebook in this category with Thinkpad X300, having good processing speed and better portability features.
Now the target point of discussion here is its important features with workability conditions and advantaged with some disadvantages also.

Processing speed
First of all we have a look on its processor and it has something new processor with Intel Core 2 Duo SL7100 with clock speed of 1.2 GHz, dual core and this new processor is made for the ultra-thin notebook market. MacBook air one of the most popular notebook in ultra thin category also has this this processor and it is latest processor for this types of notebooks. This processor has very good system bus speed with 800 MHz, front size bus speed, and this is similar to mostly sore 2 duo processors. And here is also considerable point is that its L2 cache size is also slightly better than popular core 2 duo processor's 3 MB size. Over all this is a quality processor with enough clock speed and better system bus speed with excellent cache size.
***
Memory
Next point is its memory size with 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM - 667 MHz of speed and more or less it is good enough for this category of notebooks, and also supports up to 3 GB of system memory.
Internal storage drive is note so higher with compare to general notebooks but the quality of drive is best available in the market, with solid state drive it has 64 GB of total storage capacity. Solid state drive is a latest chip based drive and there is no any moving part in this drive, it store data in chips and there is no any chances of disk crash. So with the peace of mind have some lesser capacity drive but good quality drive if you think that DATA is more important for you.
***
Graphics
Graphics card is not that good but it has sufficient 128 MB of graphics memory with Intel GMA X3100 Dynamic Video Memory, and some shared memory also with RAM.
***
Display
Its display size is small enough for portability with 13.3" TFT display, supports maximum resolution up to 1440 x 900 ( WXGA+ ) wide screen display.
***
Operating system provided Microsoft Windows Vista Business, something better than premium verson of vista and other features are more or less common like optical drive, networking, audio, camera etc etc.
***
Bottom line
Over all this as a good portable notebook with adequate latest features but price is very high. Apple MacBook is better than this in terms of features, portability and designs.

Summary: Portable enough but there is no good graphics, internal disk drive is excellent

I love your laptop reviews, as I'm hunting for one.. :) Could you include how quiet they are in your reviews? It would be most appreciated!
/&/ or maybe make a 'Most quiet laptops' review? :)/
