This laptop is what I'm currently using now and it is one of my favourite laptops that I've ever been on. The screen is a great size and isn't too big or too small, it's just right, making it easy to see everything on the screen rather than you having to squint and zoom in or out constantly. It has three USB ports which makes it very useful for different things such as plugging in different phones, cameras, anything. It has a webcam built into it and it is a fairly decent quality webcam, it also has a microphone and a slot where you can plug in a different microphone, along with a headphone slot. It has different lights at the bottom for things such as if the laptop is charging or if it is connected to the internet/to wifi, which is extremely useful. The bad thing about the laptop is the fact that it doesn't have much memory, and if you want to download a lot of things you will have to buy another hard drive.
I bought this laptop from Littlewoods.com for £399.
On first switch on, it went through the set up procedure in approx 20mins. The 15.4in screen is clear and bright, the 120gb hard drive, the processor works at 2,16Ghz. The 1GB memory can be upgraded to 2GB, and it also possible to upgrade the hard drive. The built in WI-Fi automatically recognized my router and was able to connect to the internet within 5 minutes after the setup had completed. The 1.3MP webcam produces a good clear image. The laptop also has a built in microphone, which is very sensitive, as it picks up sounds from others that aren't close to the computer.
I haven't used the 7-in-1 carder yet.
There is a built is Speech Recognition Programme, although basic, it has learnt my voice in training mode and has no problem in understanding my speech.
When I attached my Canon MP460 printer, the drivers were automatically found by the internet within 5 minutes and was able to print documents with 10 minutes.
On average, the battery lasts for approx 3 hours. I now have had this laptop for about 6 months without any problems.
At first, I found the track pad a bit of nuisance, but once I got used to it, I found it quick and very responsive.
I recommend this laptop as it is easy to setup and ease.
