Great Machine with Great Price Tag (Medion Akoya Mini E1210)
Member Name: pnpsuknet
Advantages: Good Specification, Great Speed, Great Price Disadvantages: No dvd drive built in Medion used to be compared to like morphy richards, another words rubish quality and some thing that would not last. Working in the computer industry myself I would not normaly touch these machines. However Aldi ran a promotion on this model and a couple of others and it really seemed to be a very decent specification. The price was very low and the warranty was an impressive x3 years, which what manufacture gives those? The design and layout of the machine is very clean, although I think that the shinny top was a bad idea as very easily to scratch. The speed is second to none, it keeps up very well with my mac laptop and thats very suprising. Its an ideal machine if you travel a lot, just slip in your bag and go. With it having a couple of usb ports you can install a broadband dongle and use it on the net when out and about. The battery life is good, these days getting over an hour is great but this little one does not give up at all. I really do rate the graphics card, very unusual in a budget machine. I would like to see a dvd but hey cant have everything. Summary: Great for on the move
