... laptop, in all honesty performs poorly. it was great for the first few months - really quick (which is the first thing i look for in a laptop) and very easy to use. I have the Vista system which is great too. But after a while the speed deteriorates very quickly to the point where the some of the programs are "i want to hit the screen" frustrating. im sure this isnt just my impatience as it has frozen twice already as i write this review! the running of programs on this is truly ridiculous. i have little music, no movies, great antivirus software and it cant properly install an Ea Sports game, when i got the done finally there was copias amounts of screen j...

... remain stationary and I had to learn key board commands. However I have replaced the charger and it is all running ok again now. The next problem I encountered is the disc drive has now broken. It refuses to read any type of disc and makes a worrying noise, so that s going to more expense for a replacement. A further problem with all advent laptops is that they are rubbish for drivers. Most other computer manufacturers have their drivers online at a specific site, but advent don t do this, and it is really difficult to find the right ones After my brief experience with advent laptops I don t think I shall be using them again, however the laptop was ok for the price...

... and black inside, although the look of the laptop wasn t important to me so the fact that it looked ok was a bonus. Ok, so it didn t really look swish next to my housemates widescreen Vaios, but it was a laptop better than none! The laptop is still going having written however many essays, however, one of the mouse pad buttons has broken so I now have to use an extra mouse. Oh, that was another good point about this laptop - the mouse pad was actually usable, not like some other ones I ve tried that seem to to be forcing to you to have to buy a separate mouse. Overall, I d say it is a good student laptop - it does the job and is inexpensive. Don t buy if your plan...
