IPC Notebooks in general: ... WebStar laptop from a local computer store about a year ago and I?m happy to report I?ve never had a problem with it. Because my unit had a really high spec when I bought it I?m still able to play the latest games with it?s ATI card which is not the case with my brother who opted for a brand name unit at a lower spec. The main difference between my IPC and my brothers Tosh was that all the bumf Tosh included ...

... and USB2.0 running like grease lightning? Two months down the line and guess what ? I have a problem .. shocker ! I need to plug in a new 17? Iliyama monitor I?ve just purchased and it won?t work! So I go to IPC?s support site teksupportuk.com and find to my surprise a really easy to uses database of questions and answers within their forum (didn?t have the answer to mine but it did have other stuff I found useful) The have a support number to call but instead I used their chat support system ?Active?. I got talking to a chap called Rich and within 5 minutes I had the monitor up and running? I can vouch for other IPC models ? I only one .. But what I can say ...

Ghyll Evesham Voyager 7000
... July 2002. Price, features and perfomance appeared to be excellent value for money. I have experienced a number of hardware problems the most annoying of which is the Touchpad. I have spent probably in excess of 8 hours on helplines (at premium rates) trying to fix the problem with tech support. Replaced the Bios after two false starts where the incorrect software and proceedure was supplied. They finally took the machine away two weeks ago, they say somebody might look at it soon, after the Bank Holiday and I will of course have to...

I won’t lie and tell you I had no concerns dealing with unknown electronics brand but I took the advise of my local dealer who spoke very highly of them indeed. I was delighted to find I had made the right choice and my laptop looked and performed better then laptops belonging to my work colleagues (a big thing in my office). ...
