and have no idea how to manually install drivers, you will be stuck with Vista, which performs fairly poorly on this laptop. XP runs so much better on the Easy Note than Vista it s unreal. The fan is also phenomenally noisy. It s like having a mini hoover whoosing away sometimes. Although the Easy Note has a 17" screen, it still seems, strangely, more bulky than it should be. But it isn t all doom and gloom; it has an SD card slot which is most handy, and the laptop is fairly powerful when it comes to running certain games, believe it or not. choose more memory due to the fact that programs will operate quicker will more memory where as more processor speed does not always ensure that programs run quicker. Overall this Laptop has good all-round specifications and will meet all you needs for work and home use. If you are looking to play modern games then you would need to upgrade your memory slightly to ensure you get the best gaming experience. From my own experience the battery for this laptop can be a bit annoying sometimes and can affect the laptop and can sometimes make the laptop crash while it charges at the same time. They have quite a range of laptops and after looking at them and their specifications the Packard Bell Easy Note was definately the best choice. Even though it was not the most powerful in terms of speed it was the 'neatest' and best priced one! When you close it it is forms a slim sleek rectangle - unlike many of the others that were bubbly in shape and didn't close to produce a flush edge.
