Advantages: Vista? Wireless, good graphics processing, processors quick

Disadvantages: Cooling system poor, excessive processor heat, lack of RAM for Vista, Sound card crackles

For a basic computer today this really does do all that you want it for. With a decent size hard drive and half way decent graphics its quick enough to be value for money. Exploring the internet wirelessly is just great and very well recommended, the wireless card has not failed on me once as i have experienced in previous cards. Vista really should not be installed on this model as it really does cause much hastle due to it being very RAM hungry mine has crashed several times due to lack of RAM. The sound card/chip says it can deliver 32 bit sound, but struggles an crackles in many instances. Battery power is varying dependant on the mode of power plan, various options. I have often found that the dual core gets excessively hot, the cooling system is poor.

Summary: Upgrade RAM model may cure much of the excessive heat and crashing - maybe use XP again !!
