I own a MV46-008, near identical to this laptop. It's atrocious. Packard Bells build quality is the car equivalent of a cheap old nasty korean car. Bits come off it, the paint wears out from ur hands resting on the laptop to type and it runs much slower than a Compaq of similar specs.

While the Packard Bell may look cheap and attractive, avoid it. Mine had massive hard drive problems a few weeks after the warranty ran out. Spend the extra £100 and get a Compaq / HP, its worth it.

Additional problems include poor ventilation, screen anomalies, no master cd is provided by PB, or Windows CD and their MasterCD creator is a joke. This is my first and last PB laptop.

Just to add, my gf's similarly powerful compaq was £80 less.
