I use this laptop myself, for the use of testing my site and overall using it as a developer computer, I use it because it is a Windows XP, and its not normally I say I like windows XP, I have upgraded everything in this computer however, hense it is pretty good, nothing that affects the hardware inside, just the software ie. it is now WXP Service Pack 3 instead of 2, however I have to be honest with you, the internet explorer on it originally when I bought it, would not work properly, it is a normal OLD internet explorer that has been modified to go with packard bells look, however whenever I wanted to download anything or anything it would crash on me, which forced me to go to my other computer to change the browsers, and in the end, after changing, I decided to upgrade the whole system! I would give it 3 out of 5 unfortunately, but still good if you know how to upgrade software to a better software :)
This laptop is not to bad at a fair price! Its alright for the average user who needs it for internet and work / school / or college.
My brother currently owns one of these and he thinks its great for use of watching movies and internet browsing. He don't use it for much else. but when it comes to me i'm a bit more fussy. I like my button in the right place or at closely in the right place. I find that the keyboard seems a bit disorganised, and for a Packard Bell that seems a little strange. And also they feel a little strange to type on.
On other hand the hard drive space is fine, with 80GB there is plenty of room put a fair few movies and songs.
its got a very crisp Diamond view display, thats great for watching videos and internet browsing.
Not much else to this easy note to say. its got ok ram size for casual use, and fast 1.73Ghz (only single core though) Intel pentium M processor. The battery time is very good also, can give you a max of about 3/4 hours (going from my personal experience).
