Recently, a friend of mine asked me to take a look at his notebook, Panasonic Toughbook T2 which seemed to be suffering from problems. According to my friend the computer was simply too slow so he decided to buy one of those cheap Atom netbooks. However, in reality the Panasonic Toughbook is superior in every possible way. His computer just happened to be overtaken by at least a dozen virus and turned into a spam-bot machine without him realizing.

Despite being at least several years old, it is still a very reliable computer. Inside is the pentium M CPU more than adequate for standard business tasks such as writing emails, word documents and surfing the net. The only limitation is the lack of upgradeable ram with a limit of approx 756mb however this is still enough for most people.

The most impressive aspect regarding the computer is the build quality and design. Most notebooks tend to have the same standard processors and components built in anyway. The real test lies with the computer's ability to withstand stress. This toughbook is relatively light with very good heat dissipation and a comfortable keyboard for writing up documents. The unit also has sufficient USB ports, SD card slot and the usual standard features. Brand new this computer would have cost at least 1000 pounds however now it can be bought second hand for a fraction of the price. Highly recommended.
