A 128MB ATI Radeon X600 graphics card….oh and there’s a nifty remote control to go with the package. Set-up is extremely simple and maybe annoying for those who are technically savvy. Still, for novice users, HP’s implementation is fantastic. So, how good is it? Speed wise, the processor is quick and with 1GB of preinstalled RAM, it races along very well. You can throw virtually anything at it (except intensive games) and it churns and spits everything right out. The DVD/CD rewriter is adequate. It burns DVD-Rs at 8x and DVD+R at 4x. Dell Inspiron 2650 ... a a very gppd laptop with good value for money. The screen also good. The memory is also quite sufficient and very good performance. All the features are good, although the no of USB ports may be a limitation. There is no fire wire port. One thing while using the laptop recently I was getting some electric shock, need to check the earthing. It doesnt come with a carry case, although u can order with it. Also the CDs for softwares were not provided, had to ask for the same and I got it after weeks time. The service was very prompt and good.... I do know batteries fail, anyone who has an old mobile knows that the battery does eventually give up, but after one year? Surely, it should last longer than that. So, what else could possibly go wrong? You'd think, not much wouldn't you? You'd be wrong. Within 6 months the DVD drive broke. We got a replacement, a mere 3 months later that gave up too.
