	Targa Traveller XTR ... s been a while since I had a Targa Traveller laptop - I think I bought mine about four years ago now (I thought three, but having just checked... no, it was four). Only about £1000 from Lidl at the time, I loved that beast so much. 1GB of RAM - at the time, that was whizzyfast. A graphics card that played Sims 2 and expansions without ever a stumble. Free microphone, headphones and TV tuner. And, just in case anything DID go wrong, a three year warranty. I ended up using it too. There seems to be a weakness in their on/off button - its built into the case, and over a prolonged period it stops bouncing back out, and stops working. I called the warranty helpline and spo... 	Acer Aspire 1603LC ... got an Acer Aspire laptop in 2006. It has been ok but we ve had to get the hard drive replaced once and the keyboard isn t very strong because a few of the keys have come out after regular use. In saying that, I do tend to hit the keyboard quite hard on occasion when playing certain games because I didn t have the joystick connected and that wasn t likely to have helped. I now connect an external USB keyboard as much as possible so as not to damage the keys further. It came with 512mb memory but 1gb+ would have been much better. We have 1gb on the desktop and it runs much more smoothly with Windows XP and much less hard disc access. The DVD recorder has stopped beig... 	Sony Vaio GRT915M ... ve had this laptop for about four years now and it has served me fairly well. I haven t had any significant problems with it, other than the fact that either I or my vendor have put in a BIOS password which has now been forgotten, and resetting this is difficult. The screen is its strong point, an excellent quality screen that is vibrant and bright, although the maximum res of 1024x768 is a bit limiting. It comes with a reasonable amount of extra kit, a useful DVD-RW drive and 3 USB ports (only 2 of which are 2.0 I think). The on-board wireless networking is useful and works well, other features that I ve not used include firewire and a sony memory stick drive. T...
