Toshiba Tecra M3 ... have owned Toshiba Tecra M3 since I was in college 3-4 years ago. The laptop is very light and have great hard disk size of 80g. I wouldn t say that this is 100% reliable. Maybe about 85% which isn t bad. On my first year, I had problems with the keyboard not being able to type properly until i brought it to Toshiba using the 3 year warranty. I was told that it wasn t the keyboard that had problems but the motherboard. Toshiba replaced it for free. It happened again on my 2nd year of ownership that it had to be taken back again to Toshiba and said did the same thing again. Dell Inspiron 9300 Superb ... have owned my Dell Inspiron for just over 4 years, and considering I m just starting to look around for an upgrade, I thought I should post my comments about this laptop. First - in four years I have had no trouble with it at all, and it has taken some heavy use (30-40 hours per week), I have dropped it (twice) and spilt coffeee over it a couple of times, and it still keeps coming back for more. The laptop is easy to use, straight out the box it was set up and ready to go, installed with windows xp and microsoft word. Sony Vaio T2XP/S ... most beautiful laptop I ve ever owned, I d consider this to be next to owning a macbook for the style and quality! The meaty part, what attracted me to the Sony Vaio T2XP/S...It only weighs 1kg which goes anywhere in a backpack, case, and you don t even know you re carrying it! The screen is 10.6" (1280x768) which is plenty to work with, great for word/excel and fine for viewing the net in. It s also X-Black which really does help reduce the glare in bright sunlight.
