A great laptop that does all I need and more, highly recommended

When I joined Marjon university college a few years I was told I was to be given a free laptop and to my surprise it was a Samsung (I was expecting a 'lesser' make) P510 and I've not looked back since.

It came with Windows Vista and Microsoft Office pre-installed and the specification listed above. Windows Vista runs on the machine perfectly, so does Office and its very easy to use.

A big plus is the HDMI slot on the side which means I can connect it to my TV with ease and watch videos in High defenition
The Wifi is very reliable and picks up the signal from my wireless router further away than friend's Laptops.
I have to disagree with the other reviewer and say the laptop battery is very good and can last for 3-4hours depending on what you are doing. Also having the power mode as 'Power Saver' only gives a minor adjustment to performance but adds at least 50% to the battery life.

I've had the laptop for over 3 years now and it is still going strong, amazing really considering I use it every day and battery still works like new. If you want you can also purchase extra batteries off eBay for as cheap as £10!

I have a habit of dropping things and I've dropped the laptop 5-10 (off the bed, out of car doors etc) and it still works fine so its a well built machine.

So I would definitely recommend Samsung Laptops!

      Excellent bargain laptop

I got this laptop as part of my mobile broadband deal from O2 and I have to say that it is fantastic value. It was so easy to set up, simple to use and boots up and switches off very quick. Ihave had this laptop for over 18 months now and have had no problems at all.

The laptop comes preloaded with Windows Vista and to be honest I am not very computer minded so that is about all that I was looking for. But to say that I don't really know how to do anything on a computer except type documents and access the internet it does exactly what I need it to.

I have owned laptops previously which were made by Acer and I always struggled with the built in mouse pad and ended up attaching a mouse to the laptop as I was unable to control it. This laptop however is so easy to control and work that I can take it anywhere and even work off my knee as I don't need to use the portable mouse with it.

The battery life is really good but I think that it could be slightly better as it lasts a couple of hours but not long enough for a long train journey.

I would highly recommend this laptop and when I am due to upgrade I will be looking at getting another Samsung laptop as I cannot fault it in any way.
