Advantages: Small
Disadvantages: Slowish
This is a great portable laptop as it is small, lightweight and extremely stylish.
Trying to make the perfect ultraportable laptop is rather hard but Samsung have done quite well with this one.
It has good functional performance and has an excellent amount of battery life which is key for portable laptops.
The Q40 is pretty much an upgrade to the Q30, it has a lovely slender red lid but you can also get it in silver and a very nice easy to use keyboard area.
The Q40 also does well for weight as it comes in at only 1.2kg so it is fairly easy to carry around as it also only has a 12.1 inch screen.
Although having great portability the Q40 still comes in under £1000 which is decent value for money when you look at similar models from other companies.
I like the touchpad on this laptop as it is smooth and fairly responsive and the keyboard is well arranged and the keys are nice to press which gives the laptop a good feel to it.
This is ultimately a business laptop and it performs well for tasks such as writing documents and opening spreadsheets. If your after a gaming machine this is not it look elsewhere but if your after a small business this little laptop is exactly what your after.
