Brought this laptop for university in September of last year. It was an upgrade from my old laptop which was getting rusty since it was brought 6 years ago. The main aspects I was looking for were good battery life and fast processing. After a lot of browsing on countless websites, this model really stood out by its design and specifications. The laptop has a fast i5 processor which is more than enough for everyday tasks as well as most heavy duty programs such as photo/movie editing and gaming. The screen is amazing, very clear and very bright. It does not have anti-glare but this would make it seem dull which is not what the screen aims to do.

It also features all other essentials for a standard laptop, including DVD drive, wifi, 1.3mp webcam, Ethernet and 4 usb drives. It also features a dedicated nVidia graphics card sufficient of rendering more graphic heavy programs, as well as an integrated Intel HD graphics interface. The laptop comes with pre-installed software by Samsung which enables special features such as fast start-up and fast resume which are very handy if you move around a lot whilst needing to use a laptop. The Battery lasts a long time and can usually go for around 4 hours of moderate usage. The layout of the keyboard is great for typing, it uses an island type keyboard much like the keyboard on the apple macs and is very easy to type with.

Some disadvantages of the laptop is that closing the laptop lid will put the system to sleep which may not be useful to someone who wants to leave programs running, but this problem can be solved by changing system settings. The laptop lid is stylish but it gathers fingerprints easily and they are stubborn to remove. The fan is quiet and generally functions normally, but may get quite hot if blocked by objects or used on a soft surface.
