First of all I have to say that although I ordered the piece of kit described in the header, but what actually arrived was the higher spec machine, but without the Win Pro which ended up costing me another £100. I wasn't best pleased, but this is down to the supplier rather than the laptop which what this review is about. I did give the supplier a right talking to, but I don't think they took any notice. If the same happens to you, please let me know and also say so in their supplier feedback.
Getting back to the point: The machine is light and good looking, yet well built and feels like a very expensive laptop. It's effective and efficient. So far it's been nothing but a delight although I've only used it for office based tasks and some photo editing. There is very little to grumble about.
The separate DVD drive feels a little flimsy when it's open, but I think that this is the same of most of them nowadays. The screen is tricky to see in bright sunlight when working outdoors as it's very reflective, but remedy this by sitting somewhere shady. It's much better for your skin anyway.
The software it comes with is rather limited and gimmicky, but download OpenOffice instead of activating the trial of Office 2010 and you're away!
Anyway I'm rambling now, basically I'm saying that Samsung are good and this is a machine is a goody and I like it.
