... bought my Samsung R60 Plus laptop from Tesco in 2008 January. The price was £399 and this was a fantastic deal at the time, as for the specs this was good value. Got it home and found out I had 2 years free warrenty too! Booted the laptop up, loaded the preloaded Vista Premium and waited for around 20 minutes. It was very quick and loaded perfectly. Samsung P460 ... do I start? A great laptop for a great price! $700 and up. What does this badboy have? Of course Intel Core 2 Duo, 1066 MHz, and 3GB of memory. Dont forget the 320 GB hard drive capacity. Reliable, and gets the job done. Memory could be a little bigger, but not bad at all. If you need the extra space, a 4GB version is available. I personally prefer using external hard drives to store the bulk of the files. It can be carried with little effort, being about 4 pounds, and having a screen size of 14.1 inches. Not the most portable baby in the bunch, but it works. The keyboard is slick and the touchpad is great. Unlike many laptops I have had, I actually enjoy typin... Samsung Q30 Silver 1100 ... 2006, paying just over £1,200 for it - to take on a holiday we booked for that summer in Thailand. At the time he was finishing a Masters degree through an American university online and was insistent he had to be online for most of the holiday and having sampled the "delights" of internet cafes on our trip to Thailand the year before, he wasn t keen to use them. We already owned a Samsung laptop - an X10 which was wafer thin but still a bit on the heavy side to carry about much - but my husband had been very impressed with it, despite it taking him a year to work out how to get the wireless function to work. Samsung R510-Aura T5800 Driton ... bought this laptop after my old Toshiba one had given up the ghost and the screen repair was uneconomic. I was looking for a laptop that was within my price range <£500 and had a good spec. My last laptop was a bit short on RAM and HDD space, so I wanted to make sure I had both. Browsing the shops I was attracted by the Samsung R510 which was a very good price as well as having a decent specification, in particular the 4GB of RAM, good if you are going to keep the resource hungry Windows Vista on the system!
