Sony Vaio A215M ... consumer and professional models. Most are distinguished by large-diagonal widescreen LCDs delivering the convenience of more workspace for everyday use, and outstanding visuals for viewing DVDs and gaming. Better still, Sony's exclusive X-black screen technology ensures improved contrast, color reproduction and brightness compared to conventional panels. Subtle and continuous ergonomic enhancement is provided by the Auto Luminance Sensor, which monitors ambient lighting conditions and automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen for comfortable viewing and battery saving.

When it comes to creating DVDs, users are in for another pleasant surprise. All A200-Series machines feature dual format, double layer DVD burners that can read and write both the competing industry standard disc formats. The outstanding advantage of double layer DVD is that it provides nearly twice the capacity of ordinary DVDs, with no need to turn the disc over during recording or playback. This means users can record up to 4 hours of DVD-quality video on a single DVD.

On the move, the A200-Series showcases Intel's newest Centrino mobile technology, giving users the tangible advantages of boosted performance and longer battery life. Fast wireless networking is a standard feature, and several models add Bluetooth for effortless linking with handhelds and mobile phones. High-end models come with a neatly crafted wireless mouse for the last word in comfort and ease of use.

With the Docking Station, the A200-Series can fairly claim to be a replacement for your desktop, hi-fi system and VCR. Subtle and continuous ergonomic enhancement is provided by the Auto Luminance Sensor, which monitors ambient lighting conditions and automatically adjusts the brightness of the screen for comfortable viewing and battery saving.

Me and my husband bought the Sony Vaio VGN-FE41Z series laptop three months ago by calling at call centre. We by experience came to conclusion that using call centre for the order is better because you can ask them for any offer or even free delivery. My husband is a GP so he needed a laptop for only work. So we both selected this laptop with mobile technology. I found this laptop best as it has some special features like built in camera, microphone and blue tooth. This Sony laptop has Intel centrino, Duo with windows vista . Sky pe is also installed. I selected screen size 15.4”. Memory is 2 GB. Adobe Photoshop premiere Element already installed in the laptop. When ...

over two months ago I went on the search for what I needed and after hunting through various websites, electrical stores and specialist computer shops I came up with the Sony Vaio FE41Z, an amazingly powerful machine which I have found so far to be almost as capable as my desktop and believe me it has been put through its paces. As I also work from home mostly online, being stuck in my computer chair can get a bit tedious so it’s nice now to be able to lounge about on the sofa taking care of my business. The type of work I do involves a lot of uploading and downloading huge files and my previous laptop both through the internet connection and through the lack of power ...

Premium Review Caveat emptor (296 words)
by AnthonyHS - written on 10/12/05 (Useful, 736 readings)
Rating:

I bought a Sony Vaio laptop for £1,350 in 2003 having chosen the machine mainly for its large, high-resolution screen (16inch, 1600 x 1200) and in the belief that Sony laptops were some of the most reliable on the market. However, when the computer was just over 14 months old (not quite three months out of warranty), the keyboard failed completely, and I had to purchase an external USB keyboard to be able to continue using it. I wrote to Sony, arguing that such a major fault was unacceptable, and asked them to repair the product at their own expense. Their response was to offer me a derisory 10% discount on the cost of repairs. Then, about a month later, the screen ...
