I was lucky enough to use one of these lovely little Sony vaios. The 11.1" led screen is very clear and the laptop is so thin and light at only about 1kg with the battery. If you re constantly using a laptop on the move this is a must as it is truly portable and usable with it s features. The fact it has a dvdrw drive is amazing in a laptop the size of a netbook and with a core 2 processor it s no slouch. It has wifi and bluetooth as well as a webcam. Sony Vaio TX3HP/W

I have now had my Sony Vaio TX3HP for nearly two years. When I first bought it people thought it was absolutely tiny, but now as there are smaller laptops available is this one still up to scratch? Probably not. As the stats show the memory is pretty poor as is the processor. It is also comparitively expensive. However, mine was purchased for me while at uni and the size of the vaio was absolutely ideal, it can fit in my handbag and is very very light as it is made out of carbon fibre, which very much impressed my dad! Now that I have moved into the world of work I still appreciate the lightness of the laptop, where possible I prefer to take my vaio on the train ...

Recently, after so many advices from close friends and several attempts to purchase a new unit on-line from various distributors and manufacturers, I decided to buy a Sony Vaio VGN-TX2XP in DIXONS (inside the duty free area of Manchester Airport Terminal 3). Since it is tax free, the notebook’s price is £1,497.86 (high street price is almost £1,700), inclusive of 1 year warranty. I arranged the purchase thru telephone (or could be done on-line – www.dixonstaxfree.co.uk) before my departure from Manchester Airport and presented the boarding pass to pay/claim the unit.
