looks good, plays well (Sony Vaio CR31S/W)

Advantages: good screen size, very reliable Disadvantages: bit heavy, battery life could be better I bought this for my wife, so got the white cos it looks nice. I now work for myself and she lets me use it, and not sure white is such a cool colour for me! Hey, it's a laptop, and it works - what more is there to say? It is pricier than some other models that look like they have similar spec. But I asked the sales guy (at John Lewis, and they are normally pretty honest) whether you pay for the Sony name or whether it is worth it, and he said it is definitely a better model than the lower priced competition. (But who knows?) All I can say is I don't have any trouble with it - connects to my wireless connection easily and automatically, no problems with memory, even when my son loads his games up, and I guess it looks nice. The screen is a good size - even working about three feet away. Anything that could be better? Well, battery life isn't great, and it is quite heavy. The "motion-eye" in built camera isn't great either, and the keyboard isn't completely standard, so takes some getting used to. But am I happy with it? Yes, I am. Summary: a good reliable laptop
