turn it off and shut down your work - it takes only a few seconds to start back up whilst in this mode. I am not overly technical but therefore it speaks volumes that I have had no issues with this Laptop - which I have now had for over a year. The screen quality is good. The only downside is that the battery only lasts about 25 mins when actively using and then you have to charge it up - but perhaps this is normal for most laptops.
