Advantages: sleek design, easy to use, plenty of ram and hard disk, decent processor

Disadvantages: price, battery life, bloated software

I use computers hard. No one that knows me would question that and I hold them to a high standard. I recently had a chance to use this laptop for a few weeks and I found to have decent power, but it didn't really meet my needs as a power user. While it had a reasonable amount of ram (4gb) for a mid range laptop, the Intel Core i3 processor left something to be desired. My hard drive was 500gb, which is a good size and the DVD burner was fast and realiable.

Like most Sony laptops, it did look sleek and gorgous, but the preloaded software was a somewhat bloated. It was very light and thin, but the battery life, at about 2 hours, was just not up to modern laptop standards. I want to be able to get atleast 3 hours out of a laptop and an average user should be able to get 4 or 5.

The real problem with Sony laptops is the price and this one is no different. It's a mid range laptop at a premium price. You are paying for the sony name and admitidly beautiful design.

Summary: Sony offers an average, but beautiful laptop at a premium price. There are better deals to be had.
