After I graduated from my senior high school, i confused to choose which kind of laptop i want to bought for my next study. I search many information for every kind of laptops. When i and my friend went to computer exhibition, i found Sony Vaio E Series notebook and i ask my friend about this one. He told me this one had many good features and specification. It had RAM 6GB and HDD 500GB. I thought it was so useful for me to use. Then i didn't think too long and i directly bought this Vaio E Series.
I use this laptop till now around 2 years and it still has no damage. I am very enjoy using this laptop especially for playing games with no lag cause of the perfect VGA Mobility Radeon HD 5145 and download lots of HD videos and the result is my memory still so many space. It's really suit on me. Thanks to Sony Vaio E Series VPC-EE3Z0E for this amazing product.
Based upon the hardware specifications alone, this product is phenomenal. I found that unlike my previous laptop, that this is a very steady build and it has survived an early drop from the table to the floor luckily. Wireless does not seem affected by interference from other devices which is also very suitable for me as I work with a large variety of other electronics devices which I believe work on a very similar frequency, one of the main causes of wireless interference in laptops.
I am not sure how they done it, but I find this laptop also requires significantly less maintenance as I find no problems in over heating as it seems to have minimal dust retention and effectively flushes out from the components.
Overall, a very good purchase and for those who can afford it, it is definitely a good buy and would be worth saving up for if you don't immediately have the funds available.
When looking for a new laptop I found myself with numbers/processor speeds/storage far greater than two years when I made my last purchase, and all of it far more than I probably ever need to use for my personal use - ie. internet browsing, the occasional game, videos/music, open office, and well... more internet browsing. The reason I chose the Vaio is that as well as having a high spec it is much more stylish than most laptops in this price range. I particularly like the style of the keyboard where the keys are flatter and more separated than on a typical laptop.
Where I find the keyboard very satisfying to type on I think that the mouse pad is very poor and un responsive - it seems to snag constantly when I am trying to use it. To combat this I have to use an external USB mouse which I usually prefer to do anyway but isn't really convenient when using the laptop on the move.
The laptop came installed with Windows 7 which as a Linux user I have been more impressed with than previous versions, however it still takes surprisingly long to load up, particularly given the speed and spec of the laptop. I am loathe to blame the laptop for this however as this is always a problem that I have found with Windows operation systems. I have now installed Ubuntu (a Linux OS) on my laptop which I find loads up incredibly quickly. I had no issues at all installing Ubuntu on the machine and have kept Windows 7 as well so I can dual boot, and the laptop seems to handle this with no issues at all.
Beyond the name of Sony and their reputation for good hardware I do think they fall down with the software. On Windows there comes pre-installed a Mac-like 'Vaio' dock which I found very cumbersome and of no practical use at all so it was quickly installed. As I installed Ubuntu myself this hasn't really been an issue as I have been able to configure and use the laptop in the way I prefer.
I think this is a fantastic laptop - it looks and feels robust, comes ready to use out the box and has a great spec.
No matter what you do on the E series notebook, it's sure to look fantastic. Whether you're watching HD movies or editing your digital photo collection, your day-to-day processor functions will be optimized for serious productivity. The VAIO E series notebook refuses to blend in. Designed with personalization in mind, its spectrum of available colors, subtle patterns and inviting finishes let you choose a style that's all your own. Even the interior is striking, with clear-coat palm rests that match the lid and available colorful keyboard skins to spice things up. Sporting isolated keys and an edge-to-edge design, the E series notebook's keyboard is quite impressive. You'll love the firm yet comfortable feedback of the keys, and the numeric keypad is a welcome addition for inputting figures fast.
