A great laptop for an executive or student.

The Sony VAIO VPC-EL1E1E is truly an exceptional piece of hardware - for certain applications. Featuring a large 15.5" screen and Radeon HD graphics, the laptop is excellent for viewing images and movies from either the 320 GB hard drive, or streaming from online. Its 1.6 GHz processor allows speedy usage of the more common programs - Microsoft Office, etc. It also boasts a high-speed HDMI port, allowing easy link-up to televisions for home cinema usage. Where the VAIO fails, however, is in gaming application. The gaming graphics themselves are of a quality standard, but the processing speed doesn't live up to expectations. On what would be otherwise a high scoring laptop, the low processing power drags the VAIO down to a lowly 3.8 on the Windows Experience Index. Saying this, however, I still believe that is it the perfect laptop for a student, or for a user who simply needs word processing or presentation software availability. As a rating out of ten, I believe the VAIO would score a seven.
