Advantages: Reliability, Great screen quality, Efficient and Decent Size.

Disadvantages: Low Max Speaker Volume, Questionable Battery Life Duration.

I have had my Vaio laptop for almost a few years now and strikingly my laptop has not encountered any typical 'Windows Crash' style problems -so already a minor plus point there.

Set-up was easy and self-explanatory thanks to tutorials and wizards (and partially my own computer skills). Features are not stunning from the off but it is adaptable and can include new programs, e.g. I'm running Google 'Chrome' browser perfectly on it.

I have been using it for Internet research for my student essays etc. and word processing mainly (and occasional gaming - of standards like Hitman: Blood Money) and it has handled all these very well. It has certainly weathered time well, it is reliable but let down by a slightly feeble battery life (I've noticed this recently, so perhaps it's worse due to age and weaker battery).

The screen is nice and big, producing clear pretty images, the sound is arguably at times a bit weedy but I solve that by hooking it up to nice-powered iPod speakers. The keyboard is robust and has withstood much use. Overall this is a well-built model. The only other con I could think of is Sony Tech Support pages (when I checked not so long ago) don't document too much advice on it, so treat this model kindly.

Summary: Treat this model as you would a cute kitten and it will not let you down.
