Advantages: Too many to list here (PLEASE SEE REVIEW)

Disadvantages: The price tag may seem high to some but other than that I can find no disadvantages!

Please take this review for what it is and do not expect great big explanations on the technical aspects of this laptop as I am no expert.

I have needed a new laptop for some time now and I knew if I was to go and choose my own it would simply boil down to which one looked the best or which one I was conned into buying by a pushy salesman so I took my son who could out fox any PC salesman with his IT knowledge.

My son knows what I need my laptop for and he knows that my grandkids like to play games on it and so he knew what direction to point me in and although he pointed out much cheaper options that would do, we decided between us as I had the money I would go for the outstanding Sony Vaio FZ11.

Sony make awesome laptops just as they make awesome TV`s and other electrical goods and with Sony you always get good looks as well as good quality and top specs.

Although Sony make laptops with anything up to a 20 inch screen I decided on the more modest 15.4 inch screen as it really was all I needed and it makes the laptop a bit more portable in my opinion.

The screen offers very clear crisp images whether it be for everyday internet usage or for the high demand games my grandkids play on it when visiting, the grandkids were so impressed with the new laptop (jealous even)!!

The screen is also HD so great for watching HD DVD`s on which I do regularly if my good lady wife is watching her terrible soaps of an evening. The specs of this brilliant laptop make it more than capable of coping with anything I will ever ask of it and much, much more.

My desktop PC will not run many of my grandkids games even though it is only a couple of years old but this Sony FZ11 has no troubles with them whatsoever.

The keys on it are very quiet when typing as I am doing on it right now and they also feel very strong and not flimsy like some of the keypads I tried on other laptops or indeed the ones on my own old laptop, so Quality wise over all I am very impressed with the looks, build and the operation of this laptop.

There is obviously many more specs but I have listed only the most important as I do not want the review to turn into a list. Overall this laptop is ideal for general users right through to gamers and the likes.

The laptop comes with Adobe PhotoShop Elements which is a high demand programme and although I have not used it yet myself, my son assures me that it worked perfectly and did not slow the laptop down even when listening to music at the same time.

The other installed software you get with the Sony FZ11 is the windows Vista home premium operating system and Adobe Premiere Elements; Vaio Edit Components; Vaio Photo & Video Suite; WinDVD for Vaio.

I have to say the only thing I have used out of those other than the operating system obviously is WinDVD which is a great tool for watching DVD`s through rather than windows media player.

Battery life is another big thing when buying a laptop and although the battery in this does not give you the four hours useage that the guy instore said it would it dos come close at about three and a half hours and it has a very quick recharge time which for such a small battery designed to fit such a small and slim laptop I thought was pretty good!

I would have no problems recommending this laptop to anyone whatever their needs are and even though the price tag is a whopping £800, it is still for me worth every penny, it just looks and feels so much more pleasing than any of the cheaper options I viewed and even though the same specs could be found for almost £200 less it had to be the Sony for me!

Excellent stuff - shows that good laptop PC review doesn't need to be technical to get the point across. Nicely done 8^)
