Would recommend for anyone who wants a simple laptop that is easy to use.

I purchased my Sony Vaio laptop two years ago upon starting university. I originally purchased it in order to help me when completing assignments and projects.

I originally paid £479 for it, and I chose it as it looked stylish and some what 'similar' to an Apple Mac (Which I unfortunately could not afford!)

It has an Intel Pentium duel core processor - T4200 @ 2.00ghz, 3GB RAM and a 250GB hard drive. It also came with Windows Vista at the time.

I purchased the white Vaio, but it did also come in pale pink and silver. It has a 15 inch screen and a standard keyboard, without the number keypad at the side and a touch pad mouse with two buttons.

I find the laptop extremely easy to use, and in comparison to a Dell laptop I have also used, it was much much quicker to turn on and off, and when 'sleeping' it turns back on extremely quickly. (In the past I have had problems with laptops freezing and not returning out of sleep mode.)

The keyboard has 'short cut keys' for muting sound, and also AV mode which prove very useful.

It has various screen brightnesses, and the screen is crisp, sharp and very clear and because of it's 'shiny' surface, it makes it much easier to see when being used outside in the sunlight.

The battery life is around 2 hrs 30 / 3 hours, depending on the brightness used for the screen, and whether you have it on power saving mode. I find this brilliant for it's price.

The 'system specifications' for the laptop are good for gaming, although obviously not the best, as it is not specifically a gaming laptop. It quite easily plays highly demanding Sims 3 games and movies without the need to buffer and without jumping or freezing.

A couple of issues I do have with it is it is slightly heavier than other laptops, and I also found that the two 'mouse buttons' flaked their painted coating off within maybe only a month, and I personally don't really use the mouse buttons very often.

Overall the laptop has a sleek, stylish look, was reasonably priced (Considering you are getting a top quality brand!) and was much quicker and easier to use than other brands of laptops.
