Sony Vaio S2HP ... unique display and super portability for the professional user. On top it offers more where it counts.
Sony introduces dual format DVD±RW as standard on all models, bringing greatly increased versatility and potential to the Series as a whole. In the same spirit, the size of the hard disk has been enlarged.
Key enhancements in processing power, graphics and hard disk size reflect the changing needs of the business user. The obvious example is the use of faster processors across the range to ensure that the S2-Series retains the performance advantage necessary for a first rate business tool.
In addition to it's high overall system performance, the ATI Mobility Radeon 9700 graphics card balances the S2 series perfectly, where both conventional and 3D graphics handling are boosted to levels previously only associated with desktop PCs. Everything from image-rich presentations to architectural CAD will run more smoothly as a result, but it doesn't stop there.
The S-Series was principally conceived as the definitive lightweight business notebook, which paradoxically means that it must be more than just a business machine. What makes the S2-Series the ideal traveling companion is their ability to act as personal entertainment systems when the need arises.
The special 13.3-inch diagonal wide-screen LCD (a size exclusive to Sony) is great for work because of the additional Desktop area it yields. It's also great for watching widescreen movies on DVD, the way they were meant to be seen. The S2-Series features Sony's own X-black screen enhancement, which visibly increases brightness and the range of contrast, as well as breathing life into colors. Business graphics and presentations look better - and films do too.

This S Sony Vaio BX51VN / BX51XP is yet another laptop from the Sony vaio range, and also another fantastic laptop from this range. It takes the newest of technology, and the brand new designs from Sony, and puts it all into one laptop which functions just as good as it looks. One thing this laptop is great for, is defiantly media needs, its great for loading all your music onto and even has a built in speaker to play music out of. Its also great for watching movies on and playing games on, this is due to its Intel GMA X3100 video card which helps it in running the newest of games, and even the future games. There is also windows media player pre installed and a lot of ...
Sony Vaio BX41XNGood reliable business laptop (225 words)

I use this laptop at work without a desktop screen. I have always used Sony Vaios, I use a different model at home, so I m fairly use to their functions. This laptop makes for a good computer for work purpose as it has a large screen 15.4, which makes seeing excel spreadsheets etc much easier without putting too much pressure on my eyes. The battery memory on this laptop is great, I can go about5 hours with out charging the laptop, even thought I work off the mains power rather than the battery when I need it for meetings etc I ve never ran out of battery. What I would say works brilliantly for the office use is the fingerprint recognition. It takes 5 minutes to set ...
Sony Vaio BX196SPGood work machine, but not really a toy (469 words)
by Danneey - written on 30/04/07 (Very useful, 123 readings)
Got the Vaio bx-196sp, as we really liked the look of the screen, the X-Black screen is the best I have seen on a laptop. I would recommend that before you decide to buy any laptop, get yourself off to somewhere like PC World and see the screens on these. The laptop is quite a stylish design, however the lid outer gets scratched very easily. The processor is the Centrino 1.8Ghz, which should provide suitable performance for most office tasks. The integrated graphics chip is an Intel chip, so it s not a gaming machine, which is a shame as the screen would compliment a high-end card. There is integrated sound, which is the norm for any computer these days, and an ...
