      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A reliable and steady performer but will not rock your world!

This laptop was a replacement for a much more expensive and better built machine (it had the magnesium alloy case) and straight away you notice the plasticky case of this laptop which gives it a feeling of being less robust and of less quality. The casing has now scratched several times and so looks quite shoddy now as the black shows through the silver coating.

The specification is reasonable for the price but is certainly not a rocket in computing terms. The screen and keyboard are brilliant and I suppose these are two of the biggest factors you work with on a daily basis plus the trackpad works well and is sensibly positioned in the centre of the space bar so typing is unhindered from accidental brushes from your palm.

There is a finger print scanner which allows you to log into Windows and pasword protected websites once you have registered your finger prints - it works well but how you run your finger over the scanner determines the success of the scan!

I have this laptop in a docking station and the docking connector underneath the laptop has a thin metal band around it which has been bent out of shape and so docking is now difficult.

All other features have a positive influence on your experience such as the built in webcam and mic so no concerns there.

At 13.3 inches it is a great size for me as it is portable, reasonably powerful and does what it needs to do.
