Rating:
even better, because you can connect the Vaio to your TV with a S-VHS cable supplied with it. Watching all your photo's on a big screen in the comfort of your lounge is excellent. The Sony Vaio is a superb multimedia all rounder. Just in terms of what it does as a reliable work horse is great, but when you discover all the other possibilities built into it, I don't think you could get a better setup this side of a portable Apple Mac. too quickly. 2. It has a little slot on the left hand side for a memory stick. This is useful for people like me who have a Sony digital camera. No fiddling with serial ports - just whack the memory stick into the laptop and you're sorted. 3. An integral network connection means no nasty network cards. So, that's why I bought it. Any good? Well. It comes (came, since you can't buy this model any more) with Windows 98. Which is quite nice, really, as operating systems go. I've since upgraded mine to Windows 2000 - not supported by Sony, but the drivers are on the website - and it works nice and fast. The fact that it hasn't got a CD-ROM ...
