I bought this laptop after lots of researching about 6 months ago. I chose it over other competitors mainly due to the Sony Vaio brand aswell as the relatively cheap price of £400 for a Sony product. Overall, I have been very pleased with the laptop. It has a fast operating speed and rarely crashes. The screen is also a good size and is more than adequate for watching films and videos. One of the best features I think is the keyboard which is very well set out with responsive, easy to type with keys. the Sony Vaio CR42S/W is one of the most recent fourteen inch laptos from sony which packs a large amount of nicities capable of attracting anybody (but specially, women). As happens with all sony laptops, the attention to detail is brilliant and the overall design of the laptop is stunning. The design is complemented by a good quality monitor and by some interesting specs. This model, for instance, includes a core 2 duo processor which runs at 2.1Ghz, 3Gb of ram and a large harddrive. The thing that first drew to me to the laptop was not only the Sony Vaio brand but it was also the design, its sexy! - Brushed silver effect and very thin. It s light and the screen is stunning, yes the thing you stare at 98% of the time this is powered up, something that most laptop manufacturers seem to not acknowledge, it is in fact very clear and bright. The keyboard layout seems a little strange upon first viewing, especially if you are used to most other brands.
