numpad was also good. The touchpad is a pain but ive never been a fan of them and i was quick to purchase a small mouse. The negatives however are definately to note. The battery is appauling. It says it can last alot longer than it actually does(usually about an hour). The Laptop also struggles with the quad CPU as it is clearly obvious by the overheating. screen is magnificent. Pictures are so well resolved that they look almost real. The battery duration is not that good but then this can be expected with an i7 processor. I managed about 2 hours on balanced power settings and 3 hours on power saver settings with WiFi on and normal usage I have read reports that the i7 processor gets hot. I have not noticed this personally after using the Vaio F for one week. I think this is because of the efficient fan system on the laptop.
