This laptop was bought in April 2008 for its ultra-light weight and long battery life. I chose Sony as they have an excellent reputation although they are more expensive than other makes of laptop. Having always had ACER laptops i was a little aprehensive about using this at first but i shouldnt have worrie. You can get 9 hours charge if you set up the battery to do so, but will lose performance and much of the 9 hours is if its not used very often i.e. sat idle. As a teacher it always has to be plugged in as i use it with the smartboard. No problems setting up wireless either at home or school. Super looking laptop and as always sony are the best. Sony has a standard to maintain regarding laptops. To be honest, Vaio series is just outstanding due to their stylish look, user satisfaction and high specification. Their is no short-comings in this laptop specification. This Sony got 4 GB of ram is more than enough. It is more than sufficient to run windows VISTA on your laptop while multitasking as well in full speed. But, what makes me wonder, the processor is not up to the standard regarding high ram. One thing we have to consider before buying laptop is, what processor speed and the cache memory, the more you cache memory you have, the more multitasking is possible for you. I think Core2 duo E7200 is better ...
